Solar Project

The BRICK is Here for Our Community
Have you heard? The BRICK is going solar!

Exciting news to share with you! The BRICK Ministries has been given an opportunity to fill the south façade of its building with solar photovoltaic modules and the final piece required is a little more community support.

We’ve set up a GoFundMe campaign and we’re accepting donations now. We’ve already received $10,000 in donated materials and services from OneEnergy Renewables, Jolma Electric and C & S Design & Engineering for the 11.38 kW solar installation. We’ve also received about $10,000 in cash donations from OneEnergy employees and community members. As of July 31st, there was $11,500 left to raise of the $31,990 project. That’s the GoFundMe goal, so we can achieve full funding without dipping into our operating budget.

The BRICK is the second nonprofit in our area to go solar because of this community-based approached. The New Day Advocacy Center’s solar project is now funded and construction will begin soon. If you would like to read more about both these projects, please check out Cheq Bay Renewables’ recent press release posted on their website here.

Besides donating, the best way you can help is to spread the word. Please share this email with friends or share our Facebook post. This is an exciting opportunity for our community to come together and show support for both organizations, advance clean energy generation and reduce long-term expenses so more money is available for our missions.

Can you help?

PS – If you’d rather make a donation with a check, simply write “solar” on the memo line and mail it to the address below. We’ll make sure it counts toward our goal.

Thanks so much for your partnership!
